Black x White

Black x White

This season I am all about crop tops. I just can’t seem to get enough of these for Spring, which is why I am loving this Peter Pilotto for Target crop top I picked up last week. I thought the black and white pattern was perfectly retro when paired with these round sunnies, and I added this orange cross-body bag for a fun pop of color. A good tip to remember when wearing crop tops is to pair it with a high-waist bottom to ensure too much skin isn’t showing. I am also a huge fan of vintage shopping, so when I spotted this vintage leather pencil skirt I knew it was a must for my wardrobe and the perfect skirt for this top. What Spring trends are you loving this year?

As a blonde, I love to have a closet stocked full of browns and neutrals. It’s such an easy color to mix and match in my wardrobe, leading to more outfits with the same pieces! I love this nude pleated dress I picked up this season. The flowy skirt makes this dress so fun and girly, and I topped it off with this vegan leather jacket to add a hint of edge to the classic shaped dress. Bundled Up

Bundled Up

This weekend we finally received the snow I’ve been wishing for – well more so an ice storm, but close enough in my book. There’s something so refreshing about the cold air against your cheeks and bundling up in warm, cozy clothes for a few days off of work. The best part about icy weather is the excuse to put the stilettos away for a few days and live in comfy boots! I picked up this Gap wool coat about a week ago, and it is an instant favorite. It kept me warm all day, and the moto zippers added a little edge to the classic plaid pattern. Love it.

Beat the Blues

Beat the Blues

One of my favorite looks for Fall is monochromatic matching. When I found this skirt I knew I would be able to get so much wear out of it this season. The length is perfect for work, but the fit and flare shape makes the perfect transition from 9-5 to Happy Hour. My favorite part about this look is the mix of new with vintage pieces. As I’ve said before I am big on investment pieces. This Gucci bit handbag below was purchased by my grandmother in New York in her 20s, but the quality of the leather remains unchanged to this day. Since the bag was such a classic shape, you can buy this nearly identical one today!

A Day at the Dallas Arborteum- Chihuly

A Day at the Dallas Arborteum- Chihuly

This weekend I ventured the Dallas Arboretum to enjoy the warm November weather while admiring the Dale Chihuly glass sculptures.

Although the weather was warm enough to wear a sundress, since it is November I opted for a light weight scarf, a breezy blouse, and some colored jeans.  Colored and patterned jeans are the easiest way to jazz up an outfit while still being comfortable and casual.
