Fall Color Crush: Yellow

Fall Color Crush: Yellow

Sweater with Blouse Under

As the days become shorter with Fall and we start to see less sunshine, I like to add a little yellow into my wardrobe. Though yellow is often seen as a bright summer hue, a more subdued yellow is one of my favorite colors for the season. I love this JOA sweater I found at Milk & Honey, and I paired a classic Polo button-down underneath for a classic yet trendy update to add a little depth to the cable knit. As much as I love following all of the new trends, a classic style is definitely my go-to look. Gray on Gray

Gray on Gray

One color I always find myself gravitating towards is gray. Whether it’s because my middle name is Gray or because it’s a muted shade of the ever-so-fabulous black, gray is one neutral I can never have enough of. Pairing different shades of the same hue is such an easy and chic way of color coordinating, so I paired this leather jacket with a charcoal pencil skirt for an updated work look. As much as I love a good mini, I am so excited about the longer hemlines emerging this season! Take a look at my gray on gray look and shop the links below to steal my look:

Fall Embellishment

Fall Embellishment

fall casual fashion

My weekend uniform in the Fall is definitely a sweater, jeans, and boots. It’s easy, cozy, and perfectly casual for weekend wear. I love finding cozy casuals with a bit of embellishment for an added accessory, without having to pile on the jewelry. This embellished sweater I snagged recently is such an updated basic, and pairing it with my new coated jeans was an easy look for a chilly weekend afternoon in the city. Feathers, fringe, fur, you name it – This season is all about texture, so keep an eye of for those pieces that stand out among the rest. This fringe cardigan is one of my favorite “basics” I snagged for Fall, as it adds just the right amount of flair to any simple look. Trend Alert: Mohair

Trend Alert: Mohair

missguided mohair sweater

One item that’s making a huge comeback this season is the mohair sweater. Though you may remember this from your days in elementary school (Limited Too, anyone?), this fuzzy sweater is the ultimate staple you need in your wardrobe. Not only is it delightfully cozy, it speaks for itself and lessens the need for bold accessories. I paired my cropped mohair sweater with a plaid mini and my favorite platform boots for an ultimate 90s look. Weary about jumping into this trend again? Start easy with a fluffy pastel pullover paired with ripped jeans for an updated weekend look. See how I styled my mohair crop below and shop the links beneath to get my look!
