As the temperatures drop, our craving for indulgence rises. We head inside, into the city’s cozy hotel bars and hidden lounges where we hatch wild schemes, embellish small tales, share secrets and feed our senses. The intimate conversations we enter into have sumptuous layers – of sly wit, flirtatious entendres and out of the ordinary ideas – that slowly unravel as we warm up to our environment and the delightful people around us, both known and unknown.
And so the collection’s relaxed layers of rich woolen plaids, flannels and quilting mix with pretty hues and elaborately adorned fabrics. Iconic silhouettes are nipped and tucked to befit our modern heroine, woodland fox reds and accents of pink – both softly spoken and as shocking punctuation – mix with chocolately browns, blacks and cream.
Where audacious femininity meets a sense of adventure is where our Fall begins. Expect the unexpected.

One of my favorite presentations from NYFW in September was Kate Spade, so it was no surprise to see that Kate Spade pleased the crowd once again. With another fabulous showing at Center 548, models dressed to impress in hues of pink and red with furs and plaids, creating an unexpected mix leaving guests in awe. Invitees mingled and photographed the collection as male models served champagne and bites – can it get any better than that? Check out some of my favorite looks from the Fall 2015 collection and let us know what you think. Are you ready to add a vibrant touch to your future wardrobe?

Though plaid will forever be a classic, the fabric is making a big statement this season from the preppiest to the edgiest female. Whether tartan reminds you of a sophisticated prep look or a grunge 90s trend, tartan is an absolute must for your wardrobe. I made plaid my statement item for my vacation look by pairing it with a J Crew sweater, black tights, and frye boots. See my plaid look and shop the links below to get my look:

Though my style is mainly influenced by bold or edgy pieces, occasionally I find myself channeling the styles of Blair and Janie by adding a little Lilly into my look. Since jumpsuits are my favorite (see here, here, or here), this Lilly jumpsuit made it’s way home with me from my last visit to Barefoot Princess in Watercolor, FL. I love the bold print on this piece, and of course the insanely comfortable silhouette! See how I styled mine and check out my other jumpsuit picks below:

Pink has and will always be my favorite color, so it’s safe to say I’m a happy camper when I find the perfect pink piece to add to my wardrobe. I’ve mentioned before that I think rompers are such an easy and comfortable dress alternative (see here), so this Milk and Honey romper was ultimately a must when I found it. To keep the romper from hanging too low on me, I paired an awesome leather bandeau underneath – I totally recommend adding one of these to your closet. It’s such an easy way to add a punch to your look, and I plan on pairing it with a high waist skirt as well for a nighttime look. Check out how I styled my romper below and click here to get the look:
