Comfort is definitely my key motivator for getting dressed on my days off of work, so I love finding soft, oversized pieces that are easy to toss on for a casual yet chic look. This Milk & Honey sweatshirt is a new favorite of mine, and I see this becoming a staple for my Fall look. I’ve always been slightly weary of hats on myself, but when I found this gray floppy hat (similar) it was love at first sight! The shape and size of it is absolutely perfect, and it gives your outfit that “put-together” feel instantly. See how I styled this look below and check out the Milk & Honey website to snag the look!

Dinner at Nanea
Wearing: Milly (sale)
Over the past three weeks, I have been enjoying an amazing final summer vacation before beginning the “real world” next Monday with my new career. Mid-June, I left Destin, FL to visit my boyfriend in Los Gatos, CA. While visiting him, we traveled up to Lake Tahoe and to Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Lake Tahoe
We spent a long weekend at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe for a friends wedding weekend. We stayed on the North Shore and it was an amazing experience. We spent our free time primarily relaxing at the Ritz spa, doing some light hiking, and playing lawn games. As for the wedding, we went to Lahontan the night before the wedding for a cocktail party. After being in hot Dallas and Florida, it was nice to feel the cool air while standing by the fire. The following day, we went to West Shore Café and Inn where the wedding and the reception was held. The venue was on the water and was absolutely gorgeous!

Kukio
Following Lake Tahoe, we had a quick stopover in my boyfriend’s hometown of Los Gatos, CA before we headed to Kukio on the Big Island of Hawaii. Since I had never been to the Big Island before, I was excited to see what it was like. Kevin’s family goes to the island often, so they planned such a fun variety of activities and excursions for me to soak in as much culture of the island as possible! Two of my highlights from the trip were a helicopter tour of the island and snorkeling with the manta rays. The three hour helicopter tour (that picked us up directly from the resort) was a great way to see the volcanoes, valleys, beaches, and waterfalls all before lunch. Snorkling with the manta ray’s was also amazing! We saw about 20 manta rays and rubbed bellies with a couple of them… definitely an experience I will not forget. I also loved all of the activities offered at the resort. While there, I paddle boarded, kayaked, swam with the dolphins, played golf, tennis, and took a spinning class. There was never an excuse to be bored at Kukio!

Flowy kimonos are quickly becoming my go-to summer staple. They are so lightweight and easy to toss on for a casual boho look, and the breezy fabric keeps them cool for even the hottest Texas days! I paired mine with my favorite jean shorts and gladiators for a weeknight dinner with some friends at Javier’s. Kimonos come in all lengths and styles (remember our long Milk & Honey kimonos?), so be sure to check out our favorite picks below to find the one that is perfect for you!

Elizabeth Hurley & Leonard Lauder
This past Wednesday, I had an incredible experience at the Estee Lauder event at Neiman Marcus NorthPark to unveil the new Estee Lauder shop within the store. After a successful 64 year partnership, Leonard Lauder graced Dallas with his presence at this unveiling to share a little history of the company and to showcase the Estee Lauder compact museum, which has only been displayed once prior. Leonard was accompanied by company spokeswoman Elizabeth Hurley, who was even sweeter and more beautiful in person than one could imagine! Since Neiman Marcus is Leonard’s favorite department stores by far, he debuted his newest lipstick exclusive to the store – Neiman Marcus Red. Leaving the event with a hand signed gift bag from Mr. Lauder filled with the exclusive lipstick and an engraved compact with my initials was the perfect keepsake from such a special event. To share a bit of Texas with this power duo, Leonard was given a cowboy hat and Elizabeth received a bouquet of yellow roses. Take a look at our pictures from the event and be sure to stop by the newest shop this weekend!

Finding a way to look cute and feel comfortable at the same time is the ultimate win in our book, which is why we are loving these rompers from Milk and Honey! The loose-fitted shape keeps it playful and cozy, while the drawstring waist cinches it in to keep a feminine shape! Blair paired her charcoal romper with a Kendra Scott statement necklace and wedges, while Ellen paired hers with a bold gold necklace and edgy gladiator sandals.
