This past week I attended the
Aftershock Grand Launch event and exclusive media preview hosted by The Fashionistas in Dallas. Though I originally discovered
Aftershock at the
Simply Stylist conference when they were located in Preston Plaza, the brand has since moved to their new location at the Galleria and hosted quite the fete to celebrate. Models showcased looks from
Aftershock’s newest collection, while guests sipped on cocktails from
MiniBar and received beauty touchups from
Blownaway App – which was definitely one of my highlights, because there’s nothing I love more than a good blowout!
If you are unfamiliar with
Aftershock, it is a European brand with over 150 stores worldwide – though the Dallas location is the only store in the United States. With their focus on “affordable luxury”,
Aftershock strives to attract the attention of all ages. As featured in Cosmo, Elle, and Vogue, among others, this is one brand I recommend you check out – especially next time you need an evening gown! Take a look at some of my pictures from the event and shop a few of my favorite pieces below!

A bold print on a classic shape is one of my favorite ways to add a little pop into my look. I love investing in designer pieces that will not go out of style, but can still be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Last night I paired one of my favorite Lela Rose dresses with a bold statement necklace, a classic black stiletto, and a bright orange clutch to pull out the warm tones of the fabric for the Red Cross YPA kickoff party at Hotel ZaZa. I find silk shorts to be one of the most unexpectedly feminine items in fashion right now. There’s something about the way they feel when you have them on that instantly make you feel flirty and girly. These Rebecca Taylor floral silk shorts are a new favorite of mine, and I owe that to the greatest shopper I know – thanks, mom! I decided to pair them with these amazing gladiator heels I picked up last week and this classic Lela Rose blouse for the Blaine Bowen Jewelry party at The Ritz. The Lucky FABB Conference ended with a lovely networking brunch with all of our new fashion blogger friends at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday morning. We had so much fun meeting all the girls and cannot wait until we can attend our next conference! We each received an AMAZING goodie bag stocked with products and accessories from all of the sponsors, and we are loving all of our new goodies!! One trend you should definitely keep an eye out for this Spring would be printed trousers. Trousers are such an easy alternative to jeans if you are looking to remain casual, yet chic. If you are looking for the perfect pair, Lela Rose has you covered. She has been designing the perfect printed trouser for years, and I am a huge fan of mine – tip for shopping: be sure to buy a size down, as they tend to stretch!
