Looking put-together while remaining super comfortable is definitely my go-to work week outfit, and this draped blouse from Lyla’s Clothing is the perfect top for achieving this look. Though this top was technically a jacket, I tied it together at the waist and added a small safety pin to transition the piece. I paired it with some coated skinnies, an Alexis Bittar necklace, and a pair of pumps for a tailored look for meetings. Check out my weekday look and shop the links below to steal my style:

Dressing for the office is one subject people ask me about frequently, and my advice is always to find the perfect balance between fashionable and conservative. Just because you may be working in a corporate office doesn’t mean you have to leave all your style at home. I love finding classic “work” pieces with a twist, which is why flared pencil skirts are a favorite of mine. It still has the classic look of a suit skirt, yet the flowy hem as a feminine touch to the basic pencil. I paired it with my favorite J. Crew sweater, which I own in nearly every color – love these! See how I dressed for my 9-5 and shop the look below!

I am so excited to share with you all the newest (used) handbag boutique in Dallas! One of my sweet friends, Kristen Donnell, created Keek’s after spending several years at Goldman Sachs as an analyst. Keek’s is a boutique in North Dallas that buys and sells designer handbags. They have everything including Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Coach, Tory Burch, Chanel, etc. Basically it’s the Neiman Marcus handbag department with permanent sale prices… yes please!
Kristen has a very impressive authentication process, so they never buy or sell anything that is fake- ever! In the off chance that a fake slips by and you purchase it, they will refund 100% of the purchase price and give you a 25% store credit too. Talk about standing behind your item, right?! Keek’s is very determined to sell a good product at a good price for everyone who wants that designer bag, but not the designer price tag! Also, if you have handbags that you no longer want, they will typically purchase it for 40-50% of the retail price or even more if you want store credit. I hope everyone can visit the Keek’s on Preston Road and find that perfect bag you’ve been coveting!
Be sure to follow them here and here to see new handbags daily. Check out Kristen’s debut on CBS news to learn even more about Keek’s!

Now that I have officially entered the corporate world, I am learning to appreciate the importance of transitional pieces in my closet. Since we attend social events in Dallas almost every single night, I don’t always have time after my commute to stop by my apartment for a wardrobe change. Classic dresses are such a staple in my closet, and by mixing different accessories with the same dress; it’s easy to make one piece appropriate for various occasions!
This LOFT scallop-trimmed shift (similar) is a favorite of mine. I paired it with a J. Crew cardigan, oversized studs, and my Kate Spade chunky pumps for a day at the office, but later changed into my platform Prada pumps, a bold statement necklace, and ditched the cardigan for the Baubles and Blouses event that evening. What’s your favorite way to dress up your nine-to-five look for happy hour?

I find silk shorts to be one of the most unexpectedly feminine items in fashion right now. There’s something about the way they feel when you have them on that instantly make you feel flirty and girly. These Rebecca Taylor floral silk shorts are a new favorite of mine, and I owe that to the greatest shopper I know – thanks, mom! I decided to pair them with these amazing gladiator heels I picked up last week and this classic Lela Rose blouse for the Blaine Bowen Jewelry party at The Ritz. Try these or these for the look for less!

Thanks Alex for letting us play with sweet Zoe!!
