Double Layer

Double Layer

Tibi Layered Blouse

Transitioning into Spring comes early in Dallas thanks to the beautiful weather, and this Tibi top (similar) I picked up at Willow Boutique during South Walton Fashion Week is perfect for those warmer days. What I love most about this top is the button detailing on the back of this double layered blouse, and I see this becoming a staple in my wardrobe this Spring. Check out my look and shop the links below to steal my style:

The Closet Staple

The Closet Staple

green printed blouseIf you were to take a look into our closet, one thing you may notice is an insane amount of oversized blouses – partly due to their comfort, but also because they are perfect for absolutely any occasion. In my opinion, it’s the best alternative to a v-neck gray tee. For a mid-week look for meetings and shopping, I paired an oversized printed blouse with my favorite skinnies and over-knee boots – which are on sale for a steal! Check out my casual look and see why we think you can never have enough of these roomy blouses!

EVENT RECAP: Aftershock Grand Launch

EVENT RECAP: Aftershock Grand Launch

Aftershock Dallas

This past week I attended the Aftershock Grand Launch event and exclusive media preview hosted by The Fashionistas in Dallas. Though I originally discovered Aftershock at the Simply Stylist conference when they were located in Preston Plaza, the brand has since moved to their new location at the Galleria and hosted quite the fete to celebrate. Models showcased looks from Aftershock’s newest collection, while guests sipped on cocktails from MiniBar and received beauty touchups from Blownaway App – which was definitely one of my highlights, because there’s nothing I love more than a good blowout!
If you are unfamiliar with Aftershock, it is a European brand with over 150 stores worldwide – though the Dallas location is the only store in the United States. With their focus on “affordable luxury”, Aftershock strives to attract the attention of all ages. As featured in Cosmo, Elle, and Vogue, among others, this is one brand I recommend you check out – especially next time you need an evening gown! Take a look at some of my pictures from the event and shop a few of my favorite pieces below!

Trend Alert: Plastic

Trend Alert: Plastic

Unique textiles are always such a bold and mixed-reviewed fabric when new trends are launched, so I am a little excited to hear everyone’s feedback on this new one: Plastic. Thought it may not sound like the most comfortable or breathable material (good luck wearing that in the Dallas summer!), but I have to say, I really like this funky fabric! I snagged this PVC orange mini last year and have been waiting for just the right time to debut it. I think it’s time! Check out some of our plastic picks below and let us know your thoughts – Do you love it or hate it?
