Spring is here, and I am all about the puff-sleeve trend this season! These statement sleeve tops are part feminine, part dramatic - and they are for sure our favorite trend of the season. I’ve been filling my cart all day with tons of new tops.
I snagged this black puff sleeve top from Nordstrom - and it just went on MEGA sale for $39! To be honest, at first I wasn’t too sure about the smocked material (how could that be flattering?), but surprisingly it looks and feels great! It comes in two prints, but black is always my go-to!

Typically whenever we post about a new trend, I’m boiled over with excitement ready to order every item I see. This new trend, however, is definitely taking some time to get used to. Behold, the hairy shoe. After appearing all over the runways of Milan Fashion Week, this trend is popping up again and again, and is foreseen to make quite the appearance in retail stores this Fall – whether real or faux. Unique textiles are always such a bold and mixed-reviewed fabric when new trends are launched, so I am a little excited to hear everyone’s feedback on this new one: Plastic. Thought it may not sound like the most comfortable or breathable material (good luck wearing that in the Dallas summer!), but I have to say, I really like this funky fabric! I snagged this PVC orange mini last year and have been waiting for just the right time to debut it. I think it’s time! Being the girly-girl that I am, I can’t think of a better way to add a little sass to any outfit than with feathers! Feathers are popping up everywhere this season from a dash of feather-trim on a tee to a full on feathered skirt. Feathers are so feminine and flirty, and instantly make any outfit more fun!
For night one of Fashion X Dallas (recap coming soon!), I paired this amazing feather-trimmed blazer with a black mini dress, opaque tights, and platform ankle boots for an updated all-black ensemble. Before the event, we grabbed cocktails at one of our favorite hotels in Dallas, The Stoneleigh, where the drinks are delicious and the decor is even more fabulous!
