Discovering up-and-coming designers is always exciting for me, so of course I loved meeting Jin Seo, designer behind the amazong 51inc, in Alys Beach during SWFW. 51inc is a new brand designed for women as a way to “UN-complicate and UN-fuss” our lives. By focusing on quality over quantity, 51inc helps create versatility and chic simplicity for today’s modern woman.
This
plaid sweater is one of my favorite pieces from their new collection. Though it can be worn numerous ways, I took Jin Seo’s suggestion and paired it with a
long white tank,
boyfriend jeans, and a
pair of wedges. Be sure to check out the
51inc website to shop all of her pieces and or stop by her new store in the Hamptons next time you are in the area!

When I think of dressing for Fall, I instantly think of sweaters, dark colors, boots, scarves, etc. Unfortunately for those of us living in Dallas, this crazy warm weather does not work with these cozy favorites! Finding an alternative style to channel the Fall is easy by combining the right pieces and color tones. I paired my lightweight tan vest (also seen here) with denim cutoffs and a dark hat that I snagged at Willow Boutique in Rosemary Beach for a casual October look. See how I gave a seasonal update on my favorite cutoffs and stayed cool during these warm Fall days:

As much as I love major department stores, visiting local boutiques is my preferred method of shopping. Apart from boutiques cutting back on the overwhelming intake of clothing in large retailers, boutiques are always the first to introduce shoppers to up-and-coming or local designers. Though
ShopSeptember began as an online retailer, we are so excited about the new Dallas location which opened in Snider Plaza earlier this year.
Named after one of the most influential months of the year in the fashion industry,
ShopSeptember seeks to bring shoppers the newest trends and runway-inspired items from their two collections:
The Showroom and
The Street. The Showroom features the newest hard-to-find products and designer labels brought to you before anyone else. For the hottest, fast-fashion trends from the runway, The Street is your go-to collection. Blair’s choose to wear this flowy, leather-trimmed blouse with leather skinnies from The Showroom collection, while Ellen chose a matching floral bomber and skirt set from The Street collection. See how we styled our two
ShopSeptember looks below and visit

For the second day of South Walton Fashion Week, I opted for this hunter green Splendid dress and a lightweight Alice and Oliva vest that I snagged a few years ago (try this similar one!). Dressing for Fall when it is still hot outside can be a challenge, however, these lightweight pieces were the perfect way to stay cool on this warm October night. The event was held on the lawn at Sandestin Grand Boulevard, so wedges were a must to stroll comfortable around the event.
