Dressing for the office is one subject people ask me about frequently, and my advice is always to find the perfect balance between fashionable and conservative. Just because you may be working in a corporate office doesn’t mean you have to leave all your style at home. I love finding classic “work” pieces with a twist, which is why flared pencil skirts are a favorite of mine. It still has the classic look of a suit skirt, yet the flowy hem as a feminine touch to the basic pencil. I paired it with my favorite J. Crew sweater, which I own in nearly every color – love these! See how I dressed for my 9-5 and shop the look below!

The past week has been a whirlwind of traveling from a wedding in Nashville, to our cabin in the Smokies, a visit to the Grove Park Inn, a weekend in Harkers Island, and everything in between! My first trip to Harkers Island was absolutely amazing, and I definitely fell in love with this relaxed beach town. A cozy sweater and cutoffs are my Fall beach day essentials. What’s your go-to look for a weekend at the beach?

Now that the weather is finally cooling down here in Dallas, I’m thrilled to introduce coats into my wardrobe again! Dressing for Fall is definitely one of my favorites, as styles circle around cozy classics and boots with everything! Though I love all things trendy, one thing I believe every girl needs in her closet is a versatile jacket in a classic style that can be worn for years to come.
I am loving this new belted quilt jacket from Johnston & Murphy I found this season. I paired mine with a soft flannel, my favorite skinnies, and an amazing pair of wedge booties for a casual weekend look. I also love pairing it with a fitted sweater dress, tall boots, and a printed scarf for a dressier look! Click here to snag my new must-have Fall jacket and see how I styled my look below:

When I’m traveling for more than a week, I like to pack items that I know I can mix and match to save space in my suitcase. This J Crew flared skirt is one of my favorites to travel with. Though a blue skater skirt may not seem like the typical neutral, I love the way it can be dressed up and dressed down so easily! Pairing it with a soft plaid flannel and ankle booties was the perfect look for an afternoon in the mountains, whereas pairing it with this heart-print blouse and pearl statement necklace made it an easy transition for an evening dinner look. See how I styled this flared mini two ways and be sure to shop the links below to snag yours!

A bold print on a classic shape is one of my favorite ways to add a little pop into my look. I love investing in designer pieces that will not go out of style, but can still be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Last night I paired one of my favorite Lela Rose dresses with a bold statement necklace, a classic black stiletto, and a bright orange clutch to pull out the warm tones of the fabric for the Red Cross YPA kickoff party at Hotel ZaZa. Check out my look from the event and shop some of my favorite printed shifts below!
